As discussed in the Chapter 2 lecture, the Strategy Development Process consists of:
· Considering the threats and opportunities in
the firms environment,
· Considering the firms strengths and
weaknesses, and
· Then developing a strategy that matches the
firms strengths with the opportunities, while avoiding the threats and weaknesses.
In order for you to start a meaningful and productive career in operations (or
elsewhere), you must perform the same process on your own individual level. The primary
purpose of this exercise is for you to determine your own strengths and weaknesses.
Requirements
Written: Include in Homework Set I a photocopy of your completed pages 10 and 11 of
the Assessment Booklet.
